Justin Harris

Justin Harris has extensive work experience in the field of data science and research. Justin is currently working at 66degrees as a Principal Data Science Architect, a role they have held since October 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Pandera Systems as a Lead Data Scientist from May 2022 to October 2022. Justin also worked at Real Chemistry as a Senior Data Scientist from October 2021 to May 2022, and as a Data Scientist from November 2019 to October 2021. In addition, they have experience as a Fellow at The Data Incubator, where they conducted research and built machine learning models to assess research funding efficiency. Before transitioning into data science, Justin worked as Chief Technology Officer at NanoHybrids from August 2017 to September 2019, and as a Statistical Analyst at Ledcor from October 2018 to May 2019. Justin gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2007 to December 2012, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at NC State University from January 2005 to May 2007. Justin holds a Ph.D. in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization.

Justin Harris has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering and Data Science. Justin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from North Carolina State University in 2007. Afterwards, they pursued higher education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. Justin further enhanced their skills by completing a program at The Data Incubator in 2019, where they received certification as a program graduate. Recently, in 2022, they obtained the Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification from Google.
