Alon Zweig

Alon Zweig has a long and varied work history. Alon began their career in 2003 as a QA at Digital Fuel, then moved on to RT Embeded engineer at RAD communications in 2004. In 2007, they became a Research Assistant at the DIRAC Project, and in 2010 they became a Lecturer Visual Object Recognition Course at Hebrew University. In 2013, they joined Qylur Intelligent Systems as Chief AI Officer, Principal AI Researcher, and Senior AI Researcher. In 2019, they became a Senior AI Developer at ICM an Amadeus Company, and in 2020 they Co-Founded WiseImplant. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Vimeo as Principal Machine Learning Researcher & Sr. Manager, where they work on video understanding and leads the AI research team.

Alon Zweig obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer and Cognitive Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 2001 and 2004. Alon then went on to obtain their M.Sc in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2006-2007. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2007-2013.
