Dr. Srishti Batra

Dr. Srishti Batra is a highly accomplished researcher with experience in multiple industries. Dr. Srishti began their career in 2011 as a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics in Hyderabad, where they studied the role of Iron dependent regulation in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In 2013, they were a Khorana Scholar and Visiting Researcher at the University of Minnesota, where they studied drug design in cancer research. From 2016-2019, they were a Visiting Researcher at Lund University and a Research Scholar (PhD Scholar) at the National Centre for Biological Sciences in Bangalore, India. During this time, they worked towards understanding how different insects have evolved to smell "odor objects" and make decisions. In 2019, they became a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First, where they helped people build world-class deep technology startups. Dr. Srishti also became Co-Founder and CTO of qZense Labs, a company transforming the fresh food supply chain with data. In 2020, qZense Labs received the BIRAC-BIG funding and an award from the Ministry of Electronics and IT, India and NASSCOM.

Dr. Srishti Batra completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Olfaction and Chemical ecology from National Centre for biological Sciences (NCBS) - Tata Institue of Fundamental Research (TIFR) between 2014 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree (Integrated B.S- M.S) in Science-Biology(majors), Chemistry, physics, Mathematics from IISER Mohali between 2009 and 2014.
