Electrical Engineering Tech Expert, Innovation Dept at R.A Jones

Jeff Farmer has extensive experience in the engineering industry. Jeff started their career as a Senior Design Engineer at Cincinnati Incorporated in 1994, staying in the role until 1999. Jeff then joined Cincinnati Incorporated again in 2003 as a Senior Project Engineer, specializing in controls. In this position, they were responsible for designing, developing, and testing CNC Laser controls and servo systems, as well as providing controls solutions for other product lines. In 2009, they transitioned to Cincinnati Test Systems, where they worked as a Project Manager. In this role, they managed the design and implementation of custom leak test and function test machinery and instrumentation projects, overseeing the technical and budgetary aspects of each project. In 2014, Jeff joined Fives Metal Cutting | Composites as a Senior Project Engineer, focusing on electrical and controls engineering for Fiber Composite and 5 axis Metal Cutting equipment. Jeff worked with Siemens 840D and GE Fanuc 30i-B CNC controls. Their most recent position is at R.A Jones, where they started in 2016 as an Electrical Engineering Tech Expert in the Innovation Department. Here, they have been involved in developing new technologies for the high-speed food and pharmaceutical packaging industry, utilizing PLC and motion control solutions from Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, and B&R. Jeff has also worked on projects involving IoT and Industry 4.0, as well as Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality technologies. Throughout their career, Jeff has demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering, controls design, software specifications, coding, and electronic design.

Jeff Farmer attended the University of Cincinnati from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specifically in the field of study of BSEET.
