Josh Withrow

Josh Withrow is a seasoned professional in technology and innovation policy, currently serving as a Fellow at the R Street Institute since February 2022. Prior to this role, Withrow held the position of Director of Technology Policy at the National Taxpayers Union from March 2021 to February 2022, and served as a Senior Policy Analyst at FreedomWorks between September 2019 and February 2021. Withrow's experience includes directing public policy at Free the People and contributing as an Associate Editor at Conservative Review. A former Legislative Affairs Manager at FreedomWorks, Withrow tracked legislation and engaged in policy writing, while earlier roles included research internships and graduate assistantships focusing on Medieval Studies. Withrow holds a Master’s degree in Medieval Studies from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Classics and History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
