Gnanasekaran Sandanam

Gnanasekaran Sandanam has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of engineering and infrastructure development. Gnanasekaran started their career as an Engineer at the Road Development Authority in 1996, where they designed structures for rural roads and conducted material testing. Gnanasekaran later became an Executive Engineer, managing construction and maintenance work for national highways and bridges. During this time, they also gained experience in tender contracts, quality control, and cost control. After leaving the Road Development Authority in 2011, Sandanam worked as a Consulting Engineer and Resource Development Consultant, where they focused on designing retaining walls, culverts, and small bridges. Gnanasekaran also specialized in road rehabilitation and double bitumen surface treatment. Sandanam's most recent role is as an Associate Project Engineer at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited, where they are responsible for designing roads, drainage systems, storm sewers, and inspecting watermain projects. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Windsor from 2013 to 2015. Overall, Sandanam has a strong background in engineering design, project management, and infrastructure development.

Gnanasekaran Sandanam completed their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, from 1990 to 1995. Gnanasekaran then pursued a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor, specializing in the field of Civil Engineering, from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Highway & Traffic Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, from 2006 to 2009. Gnanasekaran also acquired certifications including P.Eng. from Professional Engineers Ontario in January 2018 and C.Eng, M.I.E (SL) Chartered Engineer from the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka in August 2004.
