Omar Talat

Omar Talat has a diverse background in the engineering and construction industry. Omar began their career at Wara Construction Co. K.S.C.C as a Junior Engineer from July 2006 to January 2007. Omar then joined Parsons Brinckerhoff, initially as a Graduate Engineer from January 2007 to November 2008, and later as an Assistant Engineer from November 2008 to June 2013.

In 2013, Omar joined WSP in the UK, where they held various roles. Omar started as a Highway Engineer from July 2013 to January 2014, then transitioned to Senior Engineer from February 2014 to June 2017. Finally, they served as a Principal Engineer from July 2017 to June 2018, demonstrating their progress and increased responsibilities during their tenure with the company.

Omar's most recent position is at R.V. Anderson Associates Limited, where they serve as a Project Manager, specializing in transportation. Omar joined the company in August 2018 and has been contributing their expertise in project management to deliver successful transportation projects.

Omar Talat completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from McMaster University from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Transport Planning and Engineering at the University of Southampton, which they completed from 2009 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Omar obtained the designation of Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council in November 2016. Later, in October 2020, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario.
