Kathryn Beard

Kathryn Beard has extensive experience in regulatory compliance and legal affairs within the healthcare sector. At R1 RCM from November 2018 to March 2025, Kathryn served as Director, Regulatory Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, following roles as Sr. Manager and Manager in the same area, advising on federal and state reimbursement laws while collaborating across various organizational functions. Prior to that, Kathryn worked at Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory US from July 2013 to November 2018, initially as a Health Law Associate Managing Editor, overseeing editorial workflows and reports on health legislation, and earlier as a Writer/Analyst, focusing on Medicare and healthcare regulations. Kathryn began a legal career at Birndorf & Birndorf, P.C. from August 2009 to July 2013, where responsibilities included litigation representation and compliance guidance. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor, Magna cum Laude, from Michigan State University College of Law.
