Nimit Sharma has worked in the financial services industry since 2004. Nimit began their career at Fannie Mae as a Senior Financial Engineer. In 2009, they moved to Ankura as a Director. In 2010, they joined Freddie Mac as a Senior Risk Modeling Manager in Internal Audit, where they led a team of 5-6 members focusing on quantitative and analytical risk modeling. In 2012, they were appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Portfolio Analysis at PNC, where they managed financial engineering and modeling platforms, data management processes, and systems. In 2016, they joined Capital One as Vice President, Head of Innovation, Data & Models, Credit Review, where they led credit review innovation, data, and modeling operations with 25 team members and managed an $8M budget. Currently, they are the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at R2.

Nimit Sharma completed the Stanford Executive Program in Business Administration and Management, General at Stanford University in 2019. Nimit holds a MA in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University, an Exchange Student MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a BS in Electronics Engineering from Nagpur University, and an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Twente. Additionally, Sharma has obtained certifications from Coursera in Data Visualization with Tableau (2021), Experimental Design Basics (2020), Build Data Analysis and Transformation Skills in R using DPLYR (2020), Practical Machine Learning on H2O (2020), Machine Learning: Regression (2019), Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach (2019), and Executive Data Science Specialization (2019). Nimit also holds the FRM certification from GARP, which they obtained in 2013.
