Rick Parker is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in technology leadership and development within the finance sector. Currently serving as Head of Software Engineering at R3 since February 2016, Rick has previously held key positions including Consultant/Developer at Redcliffe Consultants, where work was done for Morgan Stanley and Trafigura. Prior roles include Consultant at Morgan Stanley focusing on HPC and Compute Grid technologies, Senior Developer at RBS Global Banking & Markets specializing in server-side rules engines, and Director and Founder of Redcliffe Technology Ltd, where a significant instant messaging application was developed. Rick's earlier career includes a tenure as Director at Deutsche Bank, overseeing global market equity technology, and as a Senior Developer at NatWest Markets. Rick began his career as a Graduate Trainee at Morgan Stanley. Rick holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
