Han Moraal currently serves as the Chair of the Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles (RSJ) since January 2022, providing independent advice to the Dutch Ministers of Justice and Youth. Moraal has held the position of Secretary General at the International Association of Prosecutors since March 2016, contributing to the development of professional standards and mutual legal assistance among prosecutors worldwide. Previously, Moraal was the National Member for the Netherlands at Eurojust from June 2014 to January 2022, facilitating international judicial cooperation. Additionally, Moraal was involved with the International Association of Prosecutors' Global Prosecutors E-crime Network as Chairman from May 2014 to January 2022. Earlier in the career, Moraal served in various senior roles within the Dutch Public Prosecution Service from 2003 to May 2014, including Chief Advocate General and Prosecutor General. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws from Utrecht University and a Master of Public Administration from the Netherlands School of Public Administration.

Raad voor Strafrechtstoepassing en Jeugdbescherming (RSJ)
De Raad voor Strafrechtstoepassing en Jeugdbescherming (RSJ) is een rechtsprekend en adviserend orgaan. De RSJ ziet toe op een humane en rechtvaardige toepassing van sancties en jeugdbeschermingsmaatregelen. Daarbij houdt de RSJ rekening met de rechtspositie van justitiabelen, positie van slachtoffers en nabestaanden en de veiligheid van de samenleving. In de instellingswet zijn twee taken van de RSJ vastgelegd: advies en rechtspraak. Deze taken zijn gescheiden in uitvoering, maar hebben wel gemeenschappelijke uitgangspunten. De uitgangspunten zijn: onafhankelijk, deskundig, transparant, voortvarend en samenwerkend.
