Garima Nishad

Garima Nishad has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Garima started in 2016 as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Legal Bench. Garima then worked as a Research Intern at Research Design and Standards Organization in 2017. From 2019 to 2022, Garima held multiple roles at Udacity, including Project Reviewer and Mentor for various subjects like Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Data Visualization.

In 2019, they also worked as an Intel AI Ambassador, where they published research and coordinated speaker events. From 2020 to 2021, Garima worked as a Machine Learning Independent Contractor at Quantfolio AI LLC, where they developed a stock predictor and implemented financial research papers into code.

Garima then became an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Zuqo in 2021, where they developed models for human expression classification and real-time client-side prediction. In the same year, Garima joined Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd. as a Data Scientist, where they developed and deployed models for handwritten OCR & OMR detection, equation detection and conversion, and other tasks related to e-learning.

Garima also pursued an MS By Research at IIIT Hyderabad from 2019 to 2022 and worked as a Research Assistant in the Machine Learning Lab, where they published research papers on classifying retinal developmental disorders using artificial intelligence.

Most recently, in 2022, they joined raapid.ai as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Garima Nishad's education history is as follows:

- From 2011 to 2011, Garima Nishad attended St. Mary's Convent Inter College, where they earned a High School Diploma.

- In 2013, they completed their 12th grade at St. Mary's Convent Inter College with a focus on Science.

- Garima Nishad pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at SRMCEM from 2014 to 2018.

- In 2019, they attended IIIT Hyderabad and participated in various programs and courses including the Machine Learning Summer School, Computer Vision Summer School, and obtained certifications in Deep Learning Fundamentals, Machine Learning with Python, and Deep Learning with TensorFlow from Cognitive Class.

- Garima Nishad also completed the "AI From the Data Center to the Edge Course" from Intel AI in 2019.

- From 2020 to 2022, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) by Research degree in Machine Learning at IIIT Hyderabad.

Garima Nishad has obtained additional certifications including "One-day Symposium on Applications of Machine Learning methods in Physics" from SRM University in December 2021 and "Computer Vision Summer School" from IIIT Hyderabad in July 2019. Garima also completed the "Accelerating Deep Learning with GPU" course from Cognitive Class in March 2019 and the "Deep Learning Specialization" from IBM in March 2019. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in various programming languages and technologies, including Advanced Cpp Training, J2EE Vocational Training, Java Vocational Training, MySQL Training, C Training, PHP Training, Java Training, and Python Skill Tests.
