Romit Dhar

Romit Dhar has a diverse background in procurement, supply chain operations, supplier development, and new product development. Romit worked at RAB Lighting as the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Operations, where they managed a team and oversaw sourcing, vendor selection, and contract negotiation. Prior to that, they held the role of Supplier Development Manager at RAB Lighting, where they developed key supplier relationships and implemented strategies to increase the value generated by the supplier network. Before joining RAB Lighting, Romit worked at Cree, where they were involved in new product development and managed strategic projects throughout the lifecycle. Romit also contributed to high-volume manufacturing process transitions. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Crystal Growth Scientist at 5N Plus Inc. Overall, Romit Dhar possesses expertise in procurement, supply chain operations, supplier development, and new product development.

Romit Dhar has a diverse education history. Romit obtained an Executive Certificate in Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019. Before that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science at Washington State University. Romit also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Romit started their educational journey at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where they earned a BTech degree in Energy Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Romit Dhar has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they became a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS.
