Pressman Academy is an innovative and engaging learning environment dedicated to developing minds, nurturing hearts and instilling Jewish values.  Located in the Pico-Robertson area of Los Angeles, and with approximately 500 students in ECC through eighth grade, Pressman Academy is known for its Blue Ribbon academics, Hebrew immersion, visual and performing arts, and for its haimish value system. 

Teachers, staff and administrators at Pressman Academy work with a child-centered focus, bringing a warm connection to each parent, student and staff relationship. Curriculum and pedagogy are guided by developmentally-appropriate approaches, with a focus on the whole-child. Professional learning stands as the bedrock of our work; faculty engage in extensive professional development and reflective practice to support their work with children.   

Pressman Academy is affiliated with Temple Beth Am, a Conservative Jewish congregation that takes pride in our reputation as a warm and caring multi-generational synagogue family. The congregation encourages personal, spiritual, and intellectual growth as well as active communal involvement through dynamic, spiritual, educational, and social experiences.

The Academic Support Team at Rabbi Jacob Pressman Academy of Temple Beth Am focuses on enhancing student learning and success through specialized educational strategies and interventions. Comprising the Judaic Studies Principal, Academic Interventionist for Middle School, Academic Operations Administrator, and the Differentiation Instructional Coach, the team collaborates to provide tailored support, ensure equitable access to resources, and implement developmentally-appropriate instruction. Their holistic approach addresses both the academic and emotional needs of students, fostering a nurturing environment that aligns with the academy's commitment to whole-child development and Jewish values.
