Emily Hendel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Emily started their career as a Customer Service Representative at J. Tech Sales in 2009. Emily then worked as a Fitness Instructor at LA Fitness from 2008 to 2010. After that, they gained legal experience by interning at the Legal Aid Society and Youth Represent, where they conducted client intake interviews and assisted with court appearances. Emily also worked as a Law Clerk at Ginarte, O'Dwyer, Gonzalez, Gallardo & Winograd, LLP and as a Legal Intern at the Law Offices of A. Adam Mehrfar. In 2012, Emily became a Student Ambassador at Brooklyn Law School, communicating with prospective students and addressing their concerns. Emily also joined London Fischer LLP as an Associate, handling multiple cases and communicating with international clients. From 2014 to 2016, Emily served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO & Office Manager at the Rabbinical Assembly, liaising with external offices and providing international customer service. Emily then transitioned to become the Placement & Career Center Coordinator, where they coached and advised members in career transition and managed job boards. In 2019, Emily became the Director of Career Services at the Rabbinical Assembly, where they continue to assist members in their career development. In addition to their professional experience, Emily also has certifications in various fitness formats.
Emily Hendel completed their J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School between 2010 and 2013, during which they were admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars. Prior to that, they obtained a BS/BA degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Florida, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Salary Negotiation Specialist from the Career Planning Academy in February 2022 and a Certified Career Services Provider from the National Career Development Association in December 2020.
