Marjan Van Riel has extensive experience in the food and agriculture sectors, beginning with roles at Nutreco from 1996 to 1998, including Project Manager Marketing for Skretting, Market & Business Analyst, and Sales Manager for Trouw Nutrition Netherlands. From May 2010 to December 2013, Marjan served as Senior Business Strategist at EFAS - Wageningen University & Research Centre. Subsequently, Marjan held various positions at Rabobank, starting as Business Manager for Food & Agri from January 2014 to July 2025, and currently works as RaboResearch F&A Global Strategist focusing on climate, sustainability, and food systems research since January 2022. Marjan holds a Master and PhD in Animal Sciences and Agricultural Business Economics from Wageningen University, where education was completed between 1985 and 1996.
