Andrew Durrant

Andrew Durrant PhD is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur In Residence at the University of Nottingham since January 2020, Durrant fosters connections between the university, local SMEs, and students through mentoring and guest speaking initiatives. As the founding Managing Director of Race Technology Ltd since January 2005, Durrant leads a design and manufacturing SME specializing in innovative solutions for motorsport and automotive safety. Additionally, Durrant has contributed to educational initiatives as a Board Trustee for both the Two Counties Trust and The Elvaston Castle & Gardens Trust until July 2023. Durrant's earlier career included a role as a Consultant Engineer with Ford Motor Company focusing on advanced engine development and an Associate Researcher position at the University of Nottingham. Durrant holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
