James Wyatt Smith has extensive work experience in various industries. James Wyatt started their career as a Summer Camp Counselor at Summit Ministries in 2010, where they led and mentored high school students and developed innovative ways to engage them. Later, they worked at Southwest Sod as an Operations & Project Manager from 2011 to 2015, where they improved key performance indicators through change management practices. In 2015, they joined Clear Sky Capital as a Fund Controller. Currently, they are serving as the VP of Accounting & Finance at Raceway Car Wash, providing strategic guidance, analyzing capital deployment strategies, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, and spearheading an ERP migration project.
James Wyatt Smith earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accountancy from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, they achieved dual credit for High School and College at Chandler/Gilbert Community College from 2006 to 2008. In 2019, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Arizona State Board of Accountancy.
