Steve Palmerin has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Steve started their career as a DB2 Performance Analyst Intern at State Farm Insurance from May 2010 to April 2011, where they managed and monitored DB2 & IMS subsystems and developed a GUI Mainframe dashboard for displaying performance data. Steve then interned as a Web Analyst at State Farm Insurance from May 2011 to August 2011, where they helped create State Farm's main performance reporting tool and developed a tool for more efficient editing of XML data on the intranet site.

In 2012, Steve joined State Farm as a Web Analyst, where they worked on various projects such as developing a prototype Android app for alerting other drivers when decelerating dramatically, leading and developing State Farm's take on Google Now for customized reports, and assisting in the development of the web service connecting to State Farm's Service Management database.

Steve then moved on to Allegion US in September 2014, where they worked as a Senior Mobile Software Engineer until August 2017. Finally, Steve joined Rachio in August 2017 as the Lead Android Developer, where they are currently employed.

Steve Palmerin completed their education from 2008 to 2012 at Illinois State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. Additionally, in 2009, they obtained a certification in CompTIA A+ Essentials (220-701), followed by an IBM Certified Academic Associate certification in February 2011.
