Ben Timbrell

Ben Timbrell is a seasoned database and data platform engineer with extensive experience in managing and supporting database estates. Currently, Ben serves as a DBA/Data Platform Engineer at Spotlight Sports Group, specializing in database management and performance optimization across various technologies such as Sybase ASE, Postgres, and DynamoDB. Prior to this, Ben held a role at Bravura Solutions, where responsibilities included supporting a Wealth Management platform and leading significant technical projects, including database upgrades. Ben's career began as a Graduate Developer at the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor, with further advancements as a Software Developer at Capita Education Services and a Senior Data Developer for a global bank. Ben holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Cloud and Data Technologies from Birkbeck Faculty of Business and Law and a Diploma in Information Systems from TAFE, Western Australia.
