Scott Brunner started their work experience in 1995 as an NT System Administrator/Paralegal at Lanak & Hanna, P.C. Scott then worked at Yahoo! Inc. from 2000 to 2001 as a Technical Yahoo! - Site Operations, managing production-related aspects of 6 Data Centers. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Lead Technician at Rackable Systems, where they managed hardware and software support and aided in product development. In 2003, they became the Manager of Service and Support at Rackable Systems. From 2004 to 2007, they served as a Technical Architect and then as a Lab Administrator from 2007 to 2008. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Rackable/SGI, providing technical support, presentations, and demonstrations to customers. In 2012, they joined Racklive as a System Engineer.

Scott Brunner attended Vanguard University of Southern California from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
