Sam Zaydel has worked in the IT industry since 1999. From 1999 to 2007, they held the role of Senior Distributed Systems Administrator/Engineer at UnitedHealth Technologies. During this time, they managed mostly infrastructure-related projects. From 2007 to 2012, they worked at Evolving Storage Solutions Consultancy as a Distributed Storage Professional with Open Storage Expertise. During this time, they focused on storage and storage networking, specializing in ZFS-based storage solutions. From 2012 to 2019, they were Principal Product Support Engineer at Racktop Systems, LLC. Sam then attended Heald College, earning an AAS in Computer Science in 2001. After this, they attended City College of San Francisco, earning an AAS in Computer Science in 2002. Lastly, they attended San Francisco State University from 2001 to 2003, though no degree was earned.
