Wendy Laird has worked in a variety of roles since 1994. Wendy began their career as a Writer and Editor at Starwave in 1994. In 1997, they became a Contributing Writer for Almost Live! and Maxim Inc. (MAXIM magazine), and the Owner of Owen Media. Wendy also wrote several articles for Seattle Magazine and its sister publication, Pacific Northwest Magazine, from 2002. In 2013, they became an Audiobook Narrator for Audible, Inc. and an Author for The Road Less Graveled. Most recently, they began working as a Contributing Writer for Racquet in 2021.

Wendy Laird received their Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Washington in 1988. Wendy then went on to receive their Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University in 1994.
