Mirjam Engelberts

Mirjam Engelberts is a seasoned professional in medical microbiology and quality management systems, currently serving as a member of the ISO working group for the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Medische Microbiologie (NVMM) since October 2022 and as a Quality Advisor at Radboudumc since March 2020. Engelberts has extensive experience as a board member of the Landelijk overleg kwaliteitsfunctionarissen medisch microbiologische laboratoria (LOKmml) since 2010, focusing on enhancing the quality of work in medical microbiology laboratories across the Netherlands. Previous roles include Senior QMS Advisor at KERTEZA and Quality Manager at the Royal Tropical Institute, where expertise in ISO 15189 and quality management training were cultivated. Additional board member positions with Landelijk KwaliteitsNetwerk and HAMLO highlight ongoing commitment to laboratory quality improvements and support for medical laboratories in developing countries. Engelberts holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Microbiology and Immunology from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
