Martin Gertsson

Martin Gertsson has extensive experience in fire and rescue services, currently serving as Förbundsdirektör and räddningschef at Räddningstjänsten Syd since 2012. Previous roles include operational leadership positions such as räddningschef and operativ chef, as well as stabschef at Storstockholms brandförsvar from 2009 to 2012, where responsibilities included leading collaboration efforts. Martin also held the position of stabsbefäl at Södertörns brandförsvarsförbund and worked as a brandingenjör and insatsledare at Norrtälje kommun from 2005 to 2009. Early career experience includes teaching and overseeing courses at MSB (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) from 2005 to 2007. Martin holds a degree in Brandingenjör from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, completed in 2004.
