Cecil Hickam is an experienced educator and non-profit leader with a strong background in mathematics and educational technology. As the Founder and Director of Students vs Cancer since April 2015, Cecil has played a pivotal role in supporting students and teachers diagnosed with cancer in the Radford, Virginia area. Additionally, Cecil has served as a Teacher at Radford City Public Schools since 2007, where responsibilities include being the Math Department Chair and Student Council Advisor. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Principal at Savannah Country Day School from 2002 to 2007. Cecil holds a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College.
