Etan Karni

Etan Karni is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in advanced systems development and vehicle design. Currently serving as Principal Engineer and Head of the Advanced Systems Group at Radia, Inc. from October 2018 to February 2024, Etan manages vehicle development and conducts technical analyses, while also mentoring early-career engineers. Prior roles include leading the conceptual design of the WindRunner aircraft as Flight Sciences Lead and managing structural components for a naval tanker UAV at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Earlier experience at Scaled Composites involved the design of a significant number of composite fuselage parts for the Stratolaunch project, while initial work at AVID LLC focused on conceptual design studies for various aircraft and UAVs. Etan holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
