Abilasha Rao

Abilasha Rao has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Abilasha most recently worked as a Research Scientist at Radiant Biotherapeutics since November 2022. Prior to that, from April 2021 to July 2022, they were an Associate Scientist at adMare BioInnovations. Abilasha also has extensive experience in academia, having worked as a PhD Candidate at The Hospital for Sick Children from January 2016 to April 2021.

In addition, Abilasha has worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at University Health Network from December 2013 to August 2014. Their research focused on preleukaemic stem cell origins for acute myeloid leukaemia relapse. Abilasha gained skills in human/murine tissue culture, DNA extraction, droplet digital PCR, flow cytometry, xenograft assays, and lentiviral production and transduction.

Furthermore, Abilasha has experience as a Microbiology Research Assistant at Germiphene Corporation in 2012 and as a Quality Control Technician at Bio Agri Mix LP from January to April 2012.

Abilasha Rao pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Honours Biology Cooperative Program at the University of Waterloo during the period of 2010 to 2015.
