Nick Fong has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nick started their career as a Lab Assistant at the University of Washington Bioengineering in 2013. Later, in 2014, they worked as a Physics Tutor at the University of Washington Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment. In 2015, they volunteered as an MRI Volunteer at the University of Washington Medical Center and also worked as a Lab Assistant at the UW Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics (CENPA).
In 2016, Nick joined the University of Washington Medical Center as a Radiation Oncology Research Assistant, where they assisted medical physicists in their research on radiation therapy. Nick also worked on a low-cost therapeutic modality for delivering radiation therapy to patients in low-income countries.
In 2019, Nick interned at the Allen Institute for Brain Science as an Informatics & Data Science Intern, where they conducted data analysis for the morphology group. Nick developed an unsupervised classification scheme for axon and dendrite tips to improve neuron tracing algorithms.
Currently, Nick is working at Radiant Vision Systems as a Software Engineer, where they are developing optical metrology application software. Previously, they held roles as a Solutions Engineer and Applications Engineer, where they managed production-grade projects and provided technical support to customers.

Nick Fong obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington, attending from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics & Biophysics from the same university, studying from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Nick obtained a certification in Software Design and Architecture Specialization from Coursera in November 2021.
