Rhys Goodall

Rhys Goodall is a skilled professional in the field of machine learning and materials discovery, currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Radical AI since May 2024. Previously, Goodall worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at Chemix, Inc., focusing on custom algorithms for AI acceleration in battery R&D. As a Graduate Researcher at the University of Cambridge, Goodall developed the Roost and Wren Machine Learning frameworks for materials discovery and published research in prestigious journals. Additionally, Goodall has experience teaching Natural Sciences students as an Undergraduate Supervisor and participated in interdisciplinary projects as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics. Early career experience includes a Research Assistant role at the NERC, contributing to improved weather forecasting models. Goodall holds a PhD in Physics and an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, as well as additional business education from Cambridge Judge Business School.
