Radical I/O is a people-first technology consultancy and lab in Vancouver, BC that specializes in enterprise software development, working with smart cities, government, fintech, social-impact enterprises, and education organizations. Radical provides strategy, architecture, design, and development services with a focus on mobile and web app development, data and artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and system integrations. Our in-house lab products include BeThere360, branded mobile VR/360° apps with a digital asset management platform; and MyCard, a smart city solution to connect with everything in your city.

Radical’s mission is to solve the most challenging business and government technology problems. By hiring highly skilled and passionate software developers and architects who thrive on challenging work, we work behind the scenes to link disparate technology solutions, or create new solutions, for our clients and partners. Our solutions are leading-edge and positively impact people’s daily lives locally and globally.

Radical believes in building smart cities that promote and encourage citizen engagement by making information easily accessible. To us, a smart city means the use of technologies for the benefit of the community and is collaboratively co-designed with the community. Over the last two years in our lab, Radical has focused on exploring smart city concepts like artificial intelligence, sensors, analytics, voice interactions, and more. Radical has a vision of what connected digital city services look like, and how to use smart city technologies to improve services for all. Through the continuous development of our Smart City platform, we are fast becoming the partner of choice for cities and municipalities in North America. In 2018, Radical successfully completed MyRichmond, a large-scale web portal and multi-system integration project with a focus on personalized access to online city services, for the City of Richmond, BC.
