Erik Gärtner

Erik Gärtner is a Research Scientist at RADiCAL, focusing on real-time 3D human pose estimation from monocular consumer devices. Erik is also the Founder of Perceivity, a consulting firm specializing in machine learning and computer vision. Erik completed a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Lund University, where research encompassed human pose estimation from video and reinforcement learning applications, under the supervision of a professor. Previous experience includes student researcher roles at Google Research, data science at Sony Mobile Communications, and various internships at Axis Communications. Erik holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Lund University and has been actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship and managing corporate relations within academic settings.
