Betsy Henderson

Chief Strategy Officer at Radio Free Asia

Betsy Henderson has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Betsy started their career as a Newswoman at The Associated Press in 1987 and worked there until 1989. In 1996, they became a Member of the Conference of International Broadcasters Audience Research and held this position until 2011. Betsy then joined Radio Free Asia in 1997, initially taking on the role of Director of Research, Training, and Evaluation. In 2019, they were promoted to the position of Chief Strategy Officer, where they currently serve.

Betsy Henderson completed their undergraduate education in Political Science at the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1995. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1990, they pursued a Master's degree in East Asian Studies at Stanford University. In 1986-1987, Betsy attended the Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, where they received their MS degree in Journalism.
