Carla Pedret

Carla Pedret has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Carla is currently working at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, where they hold the position of Director, News Products. Prior to this, Carla served as the Acting Director, News Products at the same organization. Carla also worked as the Sr. Digital Manager for Audio Products for a brief period.

Before joining Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Carla worked at Catalunya Ràdio as the Deputy Editor for Digital Products, where they focused on defining metrics for success and proposing ideas for new podcasts and digital products. Carla also held the role of Content Strategist at the same company.

Carla's earlier experience includes working as a Contributor at Online Journalism Blog, an Online News Reporter at TV3, and a Press Officer at Open Knowledge (formerly Open Knowledge Foundation). Carla began their career as a Broadcast Journalist (Radio) at RNE - Ràdio 4.

Carla Pedret earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2001-2005. Carla then pursued a Postgraduate degree in Online journalism from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in 2006-2007. Later, they obtained a Master's degree in Online Journalism from Birmingham City University in 2015-2016. Carla has also acquired various certifications in fields such as Agile Leadership, Facilitative Leadership, and Product strategies for journalism, among others.
