James Landis has extensive work experience in the security and law enforcement fields. James began their career in 1998 with the U.S. Department of State, where they held various roles such as Regional Security Officer and Deputy Regional Security Officer in multiple U.S. embassies. James also served as a Special Advisor for Security in the Office of the Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization. Prior to joining the State Department, Landis served as a Captain and Artillery Officer in the United States Marine Corps. In 2022, they joined Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty as the Head of Corporate Security.
James Landis graduated with a degree in History from Emory University in 1991. James also attended McCallie School and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, although the start and end years for these institutions are unknown. James has obtained additional certifications such as the Basic Special Agent Course, Contracting Officer's Representative, Criminal Investigator Training Program, and Field Firearms Instructor, all from various institutions including the U.S. Department of State and the FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER.
