Misty Montano

Misty Montano currently serves as the RTDNA Region 3 Director since September 2022 and has been the Digital Content Director at KUSA-TV, 9NEWS since March 2011, prioritizing team support and audience engagement. Montano previously held the position of Digital Content Manager at 9NEWS, where the first social media strategy was developed through experimentation across various platforms. Montano's extensive experience includes leadership roles on the NATAS Heartland Board of Governors, where significant contributions were made as President and National Trustee, and a foundational role as an Assignment Editor at KCNC-TV, earning a regional Emmy award. Montano holds a BA in Media Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and Theater Arts from Hastings College, attended from 1996 to 2000, and graduated from McCook High School in 1996.
