Peter Chirico

Peter Chirico has a diverse work experience in the field of diagnostic radiology. Peter began their career as Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1989 and then went on to complete a fellowship in CT/US/MRI at the University of Maryland Hospital. Peter also served as a Clinical Oncology Fellow at the University of Maryland Hospital/American Cancer Society. In 1991, they joined Radiology Inc. where they worked as a Diagnostic Radiologist and later became the Medical Director of Diagnostic Radiology at Cabell Huntington Hospital. At the same time, they also served as a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine/Marshall University. In 2013, they became a Board Member at Marshall Artist Series, Marshall University. Throughout their career, Peter has been actively involved in teaching and educating medical students, residents, and attending physicians, as well as introducing high school and college students to the field of diagnostic imaging.

Peter Chirico earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology from Rutgers College, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Peter then pursued their medical education at UMDNJ-Robt. Wood Johnson Med. Sch from 1982 to 1986, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Additionally, they attended AUC from 1982 to 1984, though no degree or field of study information was provided for this institution.
