Manager Of Data Science Design at Radiology Partners

Jai Salzwedel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science and research. Most recently, Jai worked at Radiology Partners as the Manager of Data Science Design, where they are currently employed. Prior to this role, Jai served as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from April 2021 to April 2022, and as a Data Scientist from September 2018 to April 2021.

Before joining Radiology Partners, Jai worked as a Data Science Consultant at Illumination Works from June 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they developed natural language processing software for analyzing medical dictations and managed the team's Git repository for stable code development. Additionally, Jai prepared, tested, and delivered new software releases to clients.

Jai's earlier experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University. From May 2011 to December 2016, they conducted experimental nuclear physics research at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. Jai performed statistical analyses on large data sets and developed new analysis techniques adopted by collaborators at other universities. Prior to this, Jai was a Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2009 to May 2011, teaching electromagnetism classes and labs while employing a conversational lecturing style to engage students. Jai's teaching excellence was recognized with the Hazel Brown Teaching Award.

Jai Salzwedel completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics and Philosophy at Willamette University from 2004 to 2008. Jai then pursued higher education at The Ohio State University, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nuclear Physics from 2009 to 2011. Following that, Jai continued their education at The Ohio State University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nuclear Physics from 2011 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Jai also obtained certifications from Coursera in topics such as Getting and Cleaning Data in May 2015, Exploratory Data Analysis in March 2015, and R Programming in February 2015.
