Birgitte Dragsted Horstmann

Birgitte Dragsted Horstmann is an accomplished professional in the field of intellectual property and patents, currently serving as Senior IPR Counsel and European Patent Attorney at Radiometer since November 2023. With extensive experience in patent management, Birgitte held the position of Team Manager for Patents at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from November 2017 to November 2023 and was a Senior Patent Examiner at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office from March 2012 to October 2017. Prior roles include teaching mathematics and physics at TEC, working as a Patent Attorney at Awapatent A/S, and serving as a Patent Engineer at various companies including Haldor Topsøe, Coloplast A/S, Widex, and Microsoft. Birgitte Dragsted Horstmann earned a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, completing the latter in 1993.
