Kaitlin Prest

Kaitlin Prest is an accomplished audio producer, director, and creator with extensive experience in the field of audio storytelling and documentary production. Currently serving as the Director at Mermaid Palace since January 2019, Prest also holds the position of Creator/Host at The Heart (Radiotopia from PRX) since October 2008 and has been the Creative Director of Radio Cabaret since 2012, which features audio documentary-based performances. Additional roles include Producer for Life of the Law, where collaboration with notable producers explores legal concepts, and Executive Producer for Audio Smut, a monthly podcast focused on sexuality and gender. Past affiliations include a Collaborative Fellowship at Union Docs and audio production roles at CKUT 90.3fm and the Montreal Life Stories Project. Prest's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Cultural Studies from Concordia University.
