Kristian Bastholm Knudsen

Application and Development Engineer at Radisurf

Kristian Bastholm Knudsen has held various roles in the field of engineering and research. From 2022 onwards, they have been an Application and Development Engineer at RadiSurf ApS. From 2019 to present, they have been a Product Developer at Unisense a/s. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, with Prof. Bryan D. McCloskey. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and Scientific Assistant at DTU Energy, where their research focused on redox flow batteries for grid storage. During this time, they also started up the facilities for the research in organic redox flow cells at the department and screened a number of redox mediators by identifying their rate capabilities. In 2016, they were a Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Kristian Bastholm Knudsen obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Environmental Engineering from Aalborg University in 2010. Kristian Bastholm then completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from Aalborg University in 2012. During this time, they also took part in a Student Internship at The University of Akron in Chemical Engineering. In 2015, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Energy Storage from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. That same year, they also visited the University of California, Berkeley as a Visiting Graduate.
