Svetlana Pidasheva

Svetlana Pidasheva, PhD has had a diverse professional career in scientific communications and publications. Svetlana currently holds the position of Director of Scientific Communications at Radius Health, Inc. In their previous role as Senior Director of Scientific Affairs at Axcella, they were responsible for company-wide scientific communications, establishing a publication planning team, and developing innovative virtual communications tools and programs. Svetlana'swork also involved engaging with key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups, managing budgets, and contributing to investor communications. Prior to Axcella, they held various positions at Sanofi, Allergan, Omnicom Group, and Genentech, where they conducted research on inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. Svetlana has contributed to numerous publications and has presented data at key conferences throughout their career.

Svetlana Pidasheva, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Pre-med Stream) from Concordia University between 1996 and 2001. Svetlana then pursued their doctoral studies in Experimental Medicine/Human Genetics at McGill University from 2001 to 2006, completing their PhD. Additionally, in 2014, Svetlana obtained the certification of a Certified Medical Publication Professional from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals. In recent years, they have also obtained certifications in various subjects, including Generative AI, Content Creation with ChatGPT, and Body Language for Leaders, through LinkedIn.
