Raul Velaz Mayo has a diverse and extensive work experience. Raul started their career as a Software Developer at BuscPerson Systems in 2003, where they worked on developing applications for communication with remote GPS units. Raul then worked as an IT Manager and OS teacher at Generalitat de Catalunya, where they were responsible for defining IT policies and coordinating the computer department.

In 2008, Raul joined Bibils.net as a Software Developer, where they primarily used PHP and PostgreSQL for a project aimed at providing access to a database of digitized radiologic images. Raul then transitioned to MPEC Technology Ltd. as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a webservice provider server for railway data acquisition.

Raul joined NET-A-PORTER.COM in 2011 as a Java Developer, focusing on improving and maintaining the core e-commerce platform. Raul was involved in projects related to transitioning the infrastructure towards an Event Driven Architecture.

In 2012, Raul co-founded HStream LTD and served as the CEO. The company developed a low-latency real-time processing platform that enabled companies to react to their changing environment.

From 2013 to 2014, Raul worked as a Lead Developer at Rock 'N' Pivot, where they built and deployed a social e-commerce site. Raul implemented an analytics framework, agile methodology, and CI practices for the project.

Raul then joined e2y in 2014 as a DevOps engineer, automating the creation of environments for various projects and significantly reducing project creation time.

In 2018, Raul joined ConsenSys as the Lead DevOps, responsible for architecting infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security, and operations for multiple projects involving blockchain solutions.

Currently, Raul holds the position of Head of Engineering at RDX Works Ltd (Formerly Radix DLT Ltd).

Raul Velaz Mayo has a diverse education history. Raul completed the Fintech Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a MSc in Information System Management from the University of Liverpool from 2011 to 2013. Raul also holds a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which they pursued from 1995 to 2001. Additionally, they completed an internship in optical communications at Télécom Paris from 1999 to 2000. Raul has also obtained certifications in AWS, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional in 2017 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
