Frédérique Harrel is the founder and CEO of RadSwan, a conscious beauty and lifestyle brand for the global African diaspora. Frédérique was initially launched in March 2017 as Big Hair No Care by Cosmopolitan's 2018 Influencer of the Year. Now rebranded as RadSwan, the company is set to launch this September having raised over $2m in seed funding from an all-female group of investors including BBG Ventures, Female Founders fund and Pritzker. RadSwan is set to disrupt the black beauty market and is one of the very few black woman owned brands to ever raise over $1m. Starting with hair and expanding into other adjacent beauty and lifestyle categories, RadSwan will be the first beauty brand that centers innovation, sustainability and co-creation serving the global African Diaspora.
Prior to launching RadSwan, Frédérique worked as a personal stylist at ASOS.com, digital acquisitions manager at TOPSHOP TOPMAN, UK performance marketing manager at Vestiaire Collective, France sales and digital marketing manager at ASOS.com, and SEO account executive at Neo@Ogilvy. Frédérique has also been featured as a public figure and content creator in various publications such as Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Grazia, Stylist, Glamour, Essence, Allure, Red Magazine, Sunday Times Style, Nylon, Time Out, The Huffington Post, Metro, Evening Standard, Refinery29, Black Hair Magazine, Buzzfeed, etc.
Frédérique Harrel has a MBA in e-business from 2010, a Master's degree in Financial Management from 2004-2009, and a BBA in Economy & Finance from 2007. Frédérique also has a BBA from Shanghai University in 2006.
