Matthew Bock

Matthew Bock currently serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Heart Failure & Transplantation at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine. Previously, Matthew held positions as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Attending Physician in Pediatric Cardiology at Loma Linda University, where Matthew also directed the Pediatric Heart Transplant Program. Additional experience includes a fellowship in Pediatric Heart Failure at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and a Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Matthew completed pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and received recognition with an Award for Excellence in Neonatology in 2011. Matthew's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Davis. Early research experience includes work as a Research Assistant at the Cotton Molecular Genetics Research Laboratory, focusing on RNA extraction and microarray technology.
