Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine
Luca Van Der Kraan has extensive experience in molecular laboratory management and clinical laboratory science, currently serving as the Manager of the Molecular Lab at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine since August 2016. Previous roles include Clinical Laboratory Scientist positions at Illumina and various molecular technologist positions at Genoptix, a Novartis Company, where responsibilities ranged from technician trainee to molecular technologist II. Luca began the career in laboratory support as a technician assistant at the Experimental Neuropathology Lab. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego and a high school diploma from Oxnard High School.
