Robbie Gill, PhD

Robbie Gill, PhD has a comprehensive work experience in the field of engineering and security. Robbie is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering (Infrastructure and Security) at Rafay since January 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Engineering (Infrastructure and Security) at Rafay from June 2019 to January 2022. Robbie also worked as a Principal Architect at Rafay from November 2017 to May 2019.

Before joining Rafay, Robbie worked at Akamai Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer from October 2016 to October 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Soha Systems, Inc. as a Principal Engineer Security and Infrastructure from June 2014 to October 2016, and also served as an Advisor from October 2013 to October 2016.

Robbie's previous experience also includes working at Ruckus Wireless as a Principal Engineer Network Security from January 2013 to May 2014, and at Aruba Networks as a Security Engineer/Researcher from January 2009 to January 2013. Robbie also worked as a Threat Labs Engineer at Aruba Networks from October 2007 to December 2008.

In addition to their industry experience, Robbie has academic experience as well. Robbie worked as a Guest Lecturer/Research Assistant/Security Consultant at Queensland University of Technology from February 2006 to June 2007. Prior to that, they worked as a Network Security Engineer at CITEC from February 2004 to February 2006, and as a Systems Engineer at Griffith University from February 2003 to December 2003.

Following that, in 2001, they completed a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) with a focus on Information Security from the same institution.
