Swaminathan Ranganathan

Swaminathan Ranganathan has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Swaminathan is currently the Vice President of Engineering at Rafay, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Software Engineering from February 2020 to January 2022, and as the Director of Software Engineering from February 2018 to January 2020, both at Rafay.

Before joining Rafay, Swaminathan worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Senior Manager of Engineering from August 2013 to February 2018. Swaminathan also worked at Versa Networks Inc. as an NMS Lead/Developer from December 2012 to August 2013, where they played a key role in architecting and implementing control plane and management infrastructure software.

Swaminathan's earlier experience includes positions at Infineta Systems, where they worked as a Software Architect from July 2011 to December 2012, and as a Principal Software Engineer from January 2009 to July 2011. Swaminathan was responsible for architecting control plane and management infrastructure software, evaluating open source options, and designing user interface frameworks.

Prior to Infineta Systems, Swaminathan worked at Nevis Networks from January 2004 to December 2008 as a Technical Lead/Senior Software Engineer. Swaminathan started their career at HCL Technologies as a software engineer in 1998.

Swaminathan Ranganathan completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras, where they were enrolled from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, they pursued a Diploma in Advanced Computing from CDAC for the academic year 1997-1998.
