Raffinerie Tirlemontoise in a nutshell: • 2,096,000 Hard Cubes a year • 3 to 3,500,000 T of sugar beets per year • 600 employees • 8 Sites in Belgium and the Netherlands • 90 % industry, 10 % retail ----------- Raffinerie Tirlemontoise is a Belgian sugar producer, part of the Südzucker Group, leading producer and supplier of sugar products and its specialties in Europe. Südzucker’s success is a direct result of all the employee's efforts who constantly put qualities like diversity, competence and sustainability at the forefront. Raffinerie Tirlemontoise share these key values: we’ve been successfully pursuing the same goals since 1836. Today, with a team of more than 600 motivated and dynamic professionals, we continue to invest into what we’ve branded #BelgianSweetness and #TheBestIsClose, a common denominator for our values, indicating that: • We have faith in our products; • We fortify our agro-relations; • We invest in in R&D; • We optimize our logistics; • We support our customers; • We stand for sustainability; • We respect our communities. We believe that the beauty of our activity consists in investing in 'locality': local products, grown by local farmers, and transformed through local knowhow, which shows that everything hitting close to home is truly our best asset. With the deregulation of the European sugar market, several challenges lay ahead. Although the future may seem a little puzzling, we’re confident that it also presents itself with opportunities that we’re ready to take on. Market studies showed that we’re able to venture into the global market and represent Belgian sugar products with the quality and excellence that they possess.
