Software Engineer (Backend) at Raffle.ai

Carlos Salgado has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Carlos started their career as a research assistant at Morena Films, S.A., where they conducted Spanish-English translations and performed research tasks. Later, they worked as a freelancer and event photographer.

In 2010, Carlos joined Infoenpunto as a video feature producer, shooting and editing cultural news videos. Carlos also conducted interviews with renowned artists and wrote articles for the Arts Market section.

Carlos then worked at Mango Producciones, S.L. as a junior media manager, where they managed internal communication videos, collaborated on scriptwriting, and worked with clients like Airbus, Iberia, and the Spanish Air Force. During this time, they also served as a photographer and cameraman, capturing media for internal and global purposes.

Starting in 2014, Carlos took on the role of CEO at Inmofotos, a position they held for a year. Following that, they worked as a mathematics teacher at KnowledgeLink, teaching GCSE and A-Level Mathematics in a blended learning environment.

In 2018, Carlos joined Shanghai Ruijin Hospital as a software developer. Carlos'sresponsibilities included developing a chemotherapy tracking solution using technologies such as Python, Django, Elm, Material, Ansible, and Git.

From 2019 to 2021, Carlos worked as a software engineer at the Laboratory for Collaborative Intelligent Technologies, and in 2021, they moved to ChurchDesk, where they held the role of Software Engineer. At ChurchDesk, they developed new messaging features, integrated external APIs, and worked with legacy code.

Most recently, Carlos started working at raffle.ai as a Software Engineer (Backend) in 2022.

Carlos Salgado completed their Master's degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued self-study through Libgen & Youtube in 2018, focusing on Computer Science. From 2016 to 2017, Carlos attended freeCodeCamp, where they specialized in web development. Carlos obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Film and Television Studies from Aberystwyth University during the period of 2007 to 2010. Carlos began their education at Montessori School and completed their A-Levels from 1997 to 2007.
